Format: A screening of a 1-hr documentary narrated by Anna Baltzer.

1) “Middle East Awareness Month”
When: May 2011
Where: Cal Poly, SLO
Format: A documentary screenining co-hosted with the Pride center; a lecture about the evolution of the Egyptian revolution by Dr. Foroohar; a documentary screening about oil, U.S. foreign policy and the Arab Spring; a cultural event with the Arab Music Ensemble.

When: 7:00-9:00pm, Wednesday Feb 16th
Where: Bldg 52 rm E-27
Format: A 1-hr DVD Special followed by a lecture.
2) “Egypt-A Nation in Waiting”
When: 6:00-8:00pm, Thursday Feb 24th
Where: Bldg 03 rm 213, Business Rotunda (The Silo)
Format: A 1-hr Al-Jazeera Documentary followed by a half hour PBS special. There will be a discussion at the end.
3) “The West Bank Wall”
When: 1:00-2:00pm, Saturday Feb 26th
Where: Bldg 53 rm 202
Format: A workshop presentation at the 9th annual Change the Status Quo conference. A UN documentary narrated by Roger Waters from Pink Floyd will be screened.

Format: 2 Presentations on Palestinian Migrant workers in Israel and the Connection between Latin America and Palestine.

Format:An opening speech followed by a Q&A session moderated by Dr. Stephen Lloyd-Moffett

3) “Rethink Afghanistan”
When: 8:00-9:30pm, Thursday May 27th

Format: Screening of the Obama’s War, an emmy nominated frontline documentary, followed by a discussion with Dr. Maliha Zulfacar.
